Off campus access

Remote access from off campus to many of our online article indexes, reference resources, and online journals is restricted to UNC faculty, staff, and students.

When you click on link to one of these resources from our web site, you'll see a login screen prompting you for your name and Bear number.

The AOL browser does not work with our online resources, so users must download another web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox.

Services for Distance/Off-Campus Students

Below is the link to the form to request a journal article that is not available electronically or have a book mailed to you:

Electronic reserves

This online resource provides access to course materials for all students to view.  It is accessible by faculty name or by the course number, http://library.unco.edu/finding/findreserves.htm

This is also the place to access user names and passwords for some library electronic resources that require these, such as electronic journals and NoodleBib.  Both faculty name and course number are "library reference."

Finding help

If you are looking for help with your research, there are two places to try.  The first is a group of guides to help with specific databases or in specific subject areas, http://library.unco.edu/guides/list.htm

The second source of help is to contact a librarian.  My contact information is listed in the right-hand column.  If I am not available, we have instant messaging available certain hours during the week and a general e-mail address to post your question, http://library.unco.edu/assistance/ask.htm
