Subject Headings

In the Source book catalog, search “African American women” as a subject and combine with additional words, such as:

  • African American women -- Biography
  • African American women civil rights workers -- Biography
  • African American women -- Social conditions
  • African American women -- Education (Higher)

"Minority women" is a broader term.

In each of the journal indexes, check the “Subject Terms Index” to find precise subject headings.
