Tour the Archives

Tour the Archives!

Visit UNC’s Archives & Special Collections for one of our free, monthly tours and learn how the school’s history as well as other local and national histories are being preserved.

Enjoy highlights from the collection like our 16th century manuscript, posters from WWI, our bear mascot, a signed book from George R.R. Martin, notable pieces from the Petteys Collection of Woman Artists, and more.

Tours take place on the last Wednesday of the month at 1:00 pm during Fall and Spring semesters. They last approximately 30 minutes and include standing and light walking. Tours are also available by appointment. See the sidebar for how to find us.

Class & Community Presentations

We are happy to host your class or community group, or come to your space and teach about archives. Contact us to discuss options and schedule.
