The Eigenfactor Project™ is a non-commercial academic research project sponsored by the Bergstrom lab in the Department of Biology at the University of Washington. It ranks scholarly periodicals (the same titles as ISI) and maps the structure of academic research.
The SCImago Journal & Country Rank is a portal that includes the journals and country scientific indicators developed from the information contained in the Scopus® database (Elsevier B.V.). These indicators can be used to assess and analyze scientific domains.
Journal Metrics by Elsevier covers over 20,000 journals included in Scopus and offers 3 scores:
- SNIP Source Normalized Impact per Paper measures contextual citation impact by weighting citations based on the total number of citations in a subject field.
- IPP The Impact per Publication measures the ratio of citations per article published in the journal.
