The Paul W. Stewart African American History Collection: Racism and Race Relations

Paul W. Stewart is the founder of the Black American West Museum and Heritage Center in Denver, Colorado. Michener Library is fortunate to have acquired his unique collection of books related to African American history.

Topics in the Paul Stewart Collection

Over time, Paul Stewart collected a diverse library of monographs:  African American biography and history are strongly represented, particularly the history of the Western United States.  But you will find a few books on the history of Africa as well.  To access the entire collection in the catalog, do a TITLE search using the phrase "Paul Stewart Collection".  To access subject areas within the collection, just add keywords and/or subject headings in ADVANCED search, in addition to the TITLE search using the phrase "Paul Stewart Collection".
