The Little Theatre of the Rockies, which began in 1934, developed a national reputation for excellence and attracted actors around the region and the country to Greeley during the summer months. During its first season, LTR presented a total of eight plays on campus and four in nearby Estes Park. The LTR eventually took over the production of plays from the Dramatics Club and provided opportunities for drama students to work with professional actors.
