Women's Athletic Association

In the first part of the 20th century, the Women’s Athletic Association and the Physical Education Association were primarily responsible for women’s athletics on campus.  Women’s teams were generally intramural, and included such diverse sports as archery, baseball, field hockey and basketball.   Intercollegiate athletics grew during the 1960s into a dynamic program that included 13 straight softball College World Series appearances and 2 Big Sky Conference volleyball championships.
